SHARE-A-SMILE PHOTO CONTEST: DEADLINE EXTENDED!!!

CHILD SPARK INITIATIVE announces the extension of the deadline for submission of photographs to compete in the ongoing photography competition tagged “Share-A-Smile Photo Contest”. The competition now ends on Friday, August 14, 2015.

The advisory board and panel of judges have taken this decision in response to requests from our growing online community for an extension. “Our goal is to encourage as many young people, especially between the ages of thirteen and twenty-five years to participate in this contest” said Sasha Cole, the program officer. She further explained that majority of the entries received so far have not followed the rules of the competition as laid out on the project website. “We implore all who are interested in participating to peruse the rules to ensure that their entries are eligible. Child Spark Initiative wants to reiterate that we are looking for creativity and ingenuity” added Tope Idowu, the Executive Director.

It is also announced that Child Spark Initiative is creating a new platform to engage its community and others who are passionate about children. It starts airing a web-TV magazine program titled “Share-A-Smile Show” based on the participants and their entries in July. A six-episode mini-series that features the best of the entries picked by the panel of judges. This provides special opportunity to showcase the talent of participants and rouses support from a wide section of fans and supporters of the initiative beyond friends and family. The judges’ picks are selected based on creativity, theme, quality and adherence to competition submission rules. Hosted by Hannah Simone, a brilliant older teenager with a passion for photography and music, the show tells the amazing stories behind every photograph and the message the photographer intends to convey. The show also features music, drama and tips on health, nutrition and fun games for children.

The Program Officer stated that the team is ready to clarify any issues pertaining to the rules of the competition. For more enquiries, please contact Child Spark Initiative at info@childsparkinitiative.org
