Below are the list of songs banned by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC)

The List was shared by Popular OAP. Yaw and they are songs labelled ‘Not To Be Broadcast’ (NTBB) by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

Reasons for banning the songs include ‘obscene video, drug trafficking, vulgar lyrics, violence, among others.

Video Alert: Mike Aremu Has Broken Its Eight Years Video Drought - "VOW"


Africa’s most celebrated saxophonist and multiple awards winning Nigeria international jazz artiste “Mike Aremu” have returned in fashion. The Oluwa Ku Ise crooner “MIKE” has broken its eight years video drought with an intriguing and crispy visual to his last single “VOW” off his double CD album “Coat Of Many Colours”.

 The album “Coat of Many Colours” was Mike Aremu’s last album and it featured collaborations from the likes of MI, Chidinma, and Sasha P amongst others.
The entrancing VOW video was shot on a location in Oxford, England and was directed by the very resourceful director “ Uvi Orogun”.

Movie Alert: Stephanie Linus New Film “DRY” Now In Cinema




Stephanie Linus new film “DRY” from her production company Next Page Productions now in cinema across the country. Written, produced and directed by Stephanie Linus, the film is an inspired true story based on a young girl Stephanie met in Nigeria many years ago, Aisha.

The movie follows a trail of Zara’s (played by Stephanie Linus) trip to Africa, her constant turmoil as a result of inexplicable horrors from her childhood, her experiences and heartaches while working with young girls suffering from complications from early child birth as child brides, against the backdrop of a rich African culture. It is full of intrigue, suspense, unbelievable surprises, the joy of reconciliation and the power of the human spirit that will captivate and engage movie enthusiast.

The film stars: Darwin Shaw as Dr. Alex, the legendary Liz Benson Ameye as the Matron, Bill McNamara as Dr. Brown, and Introducing Zubaida Ibrahim Fagge as Halima the teenager who had to endure a life not designed for a child: to be married to a man who was more than four times her age. The production of this film was supported by the Office of the special adviser to the president on MDGs Nigeria, Aberystwyth University Wales, Diamond Bank, Foundation for ethnic integration and harmony in Nigeria, Office of the first lady of Ebonyi state, Mikano, Masters Energy and more.

Also starring in the film are Olu Jacobs, Tijjani Faraga, Hauwa Maina, Rahama Hassan, Rekiya Attah, Hakeem Hassan and Afamefuna Klint Igwemba (aka Klint da drunk). The production’s creative team includes director of photography, Angel Barroeta, executive producer, Linus Idahosa, co-produced by Jane Lawalata with Akanimo Odon and Murtza Ali Ghaznavi as line producers and Chinedu Omorie as first assistant.

Check out Ruggedboots Pro on set of new TV series 'O NIJA'


Ruggedboots Productions has wrapped up the production of the first season upcoming TV Series, 'O Nija"

The movie written by Owolabi Temiloluwa and scripted by Olatoun Sofela Adebowale is being directed by Sayo Aluko with Stephen Sunday serving as the cinematographer. 

An unconventional show/TV drama series created to address pressing and trending social issues in the most refreshing perspectives.
The production stars Owolabi Temiloluwa alongside the talented award winning  Sola Rose and Toun Adebowale(Maggi)








Ruggedboots short film “SWINGS” gathered lots of nominations in different awards shows and is made rounds in both local and international film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival.

'Side Effects.' is a short film produced and directed by Chucks Anyaduba, the movie focuses on prostrate cancer and its side effects.

Nkem gets worried of her husband’s frequent urinating. Her greatest fears came to reality when it was revealed that her husband had prostate cancer at a young age of 34. The only option was surgery which has significant Side Effects.

"UNBLISSFUL" - Set To Hit Movie Theatres On Friday, 7 August


"Unblissful" is a Nollywood Reloaded production. It was directed by Ike Nnaebue and produced by actress Tamara Eteimo and Oby Olebara Uzoukwu.

The romantic comedy looks at the lives of a discontented artist who takes on a job as an insurance marketer Raymond Abasi,  and an out of job freelance journalist Jeffa Adolo both of who are on a search for the new phase of their lives.

The movie which is set to premiere at Silverbird CinemasIkeja City Mall, Lagos on Friday, 7 August, 2015 stars Tamara EteimoSeun Akindele, Rachel Oniga and Funsho Adeolu, alongside Ghanaian actor Ron Solomon Maxwell.
